The King Mackerel or Kingfish is a frequent winter visitor
to the waters around Key West. They usually depart our shores
as the water warms around the end of April and it is believed
that the fish move up to the Texas coast at that time. They are
a wonderful sportfish, readily taking various live and dead
baitfish, spoons, jigs and other artificials.
